Candidate for County Executive, Northampton County, PA

Tara has an extensive background organizing for climate justice in her community, throughout the State of Pennsylvania and beyond. Before being elected as a County Commissioner, she helped build a coalition to stop the PennEast Pipeline.

She was a local coordinator for Food & Water Watch, as well as 1 of 4 ecofeminist bloggers for the Beaver Times Tribune, shedding a light on natural gas infrastructure buildout and fracking in PA. She is now running for Northampton County Executive to help her County become a leader in renewable energy, EV infrastructure, and preserving green space and farmland.

In my first term, we’ll put the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission Climate Action Plan to work: cut transportation pollution with EV charging and a cleaner county fleet, preserve more open space, add solar and energy upgrades to county buildings, and protect our streams and drinking water.”
