Administrative Team

  • Jack Hanson

    Executive Director

    Jack Hanson is the cofounder and executive director of Run On Climate. He has been working to advance climate justice since his senior year of high school. In 2019, Jack was elected to the Burlington, Vermont City Council at the age of 24, breaking voter turnout records in the process. While on Council, he championed numerous policies to reduce emissions and lower the cost of living in Burlington, including requirements for landlords to weatherize rental units, renewable heating requirements for new buildlings, a citywide electric bikeshare system, a commitment and roadmap to get Burlington off of fossil fuels by 2030, and more. He started Run On Climate in 2021 to support other local-level leaders and climate activists working to advance climate action in their own communities.

    Orla Molloy

    Operations Director

    Orla recently graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science, concentrating in Public Policy. Originally from the Southside of Chicago, her passion for local advocacy was shaped by the city’s strong tradition of grassroots activism. Her interest in climate policy developed through roles at MIT’s Water and Food Systems Lab, the media team at COP26, and the U.S. Youth Climate Strike. Before becoming Operations Director at Run on Climate, she supported campaigns and development as an Electoral Fellow and Fundraiser.

    In her free time, Orla enjoys reading, biking along the Chicago lakefront, and practicing her Scottish Gaelic.

  • Diana Musco

    Director of Talent Acquisition

    Diana grew up in New York, and now calls Vermont home. Her journey has taken her around the globe, from developing social justice curriculum in India to managing operations at a resort in Alaska, and contributing to conservation efforts in South Africa and Kenya. Her passion for travel and protecting our planet have led her to Run On Climate, as she enjoys using her various skillsets to create meaningful change. Outside of work, Diana loves exploring new places and staying active.

  • Nick Wahlers

    Elections Director

    Nick grew up in a rural community outside of Rochester NY. While attending college in Burlington, VT, he began working for the Vermont Public Interest Research Group (VPIRG). This is where he got his start in community organizing, canvassing and fundraising. In 2016, he worked for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign as a canvasser and field organizer. Afterwards, he returned to VPIRG to work as a campus organizer, phone bank manager, assistant canvass director, and eventually the head canvass director. He worked as a field organizer for the VT Democratic Party during the 2018 midterm elections. In 2020, he managed a campaign for State Senate in VT. He then worked as a field organizer for Samra Brouk, who was running for State Senate in the Rochester, NY area. Samra won that campaign, becoming the first black woman elected to represent the Rochester area in the State Senate. Since then, Nick has worked for Senator Samra Brouk as her Director of Community Development: meeting with local organizations and municipalities to understand their needs and using that information to help the Senator with state budget negotiations and grant nominations.

  • Lilia Klingler

    Electoral Fellow

    Lilia is completing her final semester at Middlebury College with a degree in Environmental Justice and Religion. As a New Hampshire native, her commitment to climate activism is inspired by the places that she grew up exploring, with a particular fondness for the White Mountains. Through her outreach work with other sustainability organizations in the Burlington area, namely Shelburne Farms and the Rosalia Project for a Clean Ocean, she became fueled by the power that local nonprofits can have as catalysts for change within their communities and beyond. She first brought her passion to policymaking as an Electoral intern last winter, and is thrilled to continue supporting ROC’s candidates and learning from each of their unique perspectives on addressing the climate crisis. In her free time, Lilia can be found hiking, watercolor painting, and sharing meals with friends and family.

  • Elizabeth Hutchins

    Electoral Fellow

    Elizabeth is a senior at the University of Vermont studying Sustainability, Ecology, and Policy with a concentration in Environmental Planning, Policy, and Law. She is from Lake Wylie, South Carolina, a suburb south of Charlotte, North Carolina. After completing her degree, she hopes to work within governmental environmental agencies. She loves to hike and kayak.

  • Jada Gleeson

    Electoral Fellow

    Jada is a senior at the University of Vermont studying Green Energy in Community Development and Applied Economics, with a minor in Political Science. Her fields of interest include policy research and analysis, sustainability, and everything from local level politics to international relations. Jada is originally from North Carolina, but spent time studying in Indiana before relocating to Burlington, Vermont. She has spent her time here volunteering for refugee resettlement and migrant justice organizations and participating in community cleanup events. She is most looking forward to advocating for climate change prevention and environmental protection through local level electoral campaigns and working with politicians that want to make a positive impact on their communities. In her free time, Jada enjoys hiking, travelling, and reading by the water.

  • Maddie Radgowski

    Electoral Fellow

    Maddie Radgowski is a senior at the University of Vermont, majoring in Political Science and Global Studies with a minor in French. Growing up, she spent much of her time exploring the outdoors with her family, a passion that has only deepened since coming to UVM, where she enjoys skiing, hiking, and swimming in Lake Champlain. Maddie is eager to put her studies and passions into practice by working alongside town leaders to advance climate policies and support their efforts to get elected.

  • Lola Remmert

    Electoral Fellow

    Lola is a rising junior at Boston University majoring in Biology and Political Science. Her love for the environment stemmed from always being outdoors with my family in New Jersey, doing activities like hiking and swimming. She’s looking forward to helping promote climate awareness, especially in local communities. In her free time she likes to read, play volleyball, kayak, and spend time at the beach.

  • Benjamin Buka

    Electoral Fellow

    Ben is a Junior at Brown University majoring in Public Policy. He grew up in Rhode Island, and enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling. Ben’s interests lie at the intersection of data and climate policy, specifically using numbers to understand the structural barriers preventing environmental awareness. He looks forward to utilizing his past campaign experiences to provide electoral support at the community level with Run On Climate this Fall.

  • Francisco Tellez

    Electoral Fellow

    Francisco is a Junior at Middlebury College studying Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Originally from Colonia, New Jersey, he learned the importance of helping the local community through volunteering in charity events and at soup kitchens. He believes the most impactful climate work begins at the local level, and is committed to climate oriented policy accessible to everyone. Outside of academics, he enjoys traveling, skiing, and listening to all types of music from reggaeton to grunge.

  • Kyle Lehrfeld

    Electoral Fellow

    Kyle is a sophomore at McGill University majoring in Economics with a minor in Political Science. Born and raised in New Jersey, he was always drawn to the great outdoors. After a backpacking trip across Spain sparked his passion for environmental action, Kyle knew sustainable solutions could wait no longer. Wanting to combine his love of politics and his passion for conservation, he began work as an Electoral Intern at Run On Climate. In Montreal, he works on campus as a Student Ambassador and tries his best to maximize his time outside. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, baking, and unapologetically cheering for Philadelphia sports teams. Kyle is excited to work with Run On Climate to make a change and help provide sustainable solutions for his community.

  • Jordan Crumpton

    Electoral Intern

    Jordan Crumpton is a current Junior at Northwestern University. He is majoring in Environmental Policy and Political Science. Born and raised in Evanston, his passion for environmental issues stemmed from the natural resources around Lake Michigan, as well as having a grandmother very passionate about the topic. He has done research on negative emissions technologies, as well as environmental justice work with a local environmental group. In his free time, he loves to get active, is a huge sports fan, and dabbles in video games. Jordan is excited to work at Run on Climate to continue working towards positive environmental change, driven by young leaders.

  • Giovanni Hernandez

    Electoral Intern

    Giovanni Hernandez is an incoming senior at the University Of Illinois Chicago majoring in Political Science and Criminology, Law and Justice with Minors in Social Justice and History. Hailing from Chicago in the State of Illinois, activism has never been a new topic for Giovanni. When in High School, Giovanni started working with Pro LGBTQIA+ and Pro Migrant organizations in an attempt to bring about change through activism. Giovanni found a passion for climate related activism at the beginning of his college career and has been involved with helping write pro-climate legislation. Giovanni will be starting his journey with Run On Climate as he looks to build a greener and better world for all.

  • Jonah Dreyfus

    Electoral Intern

    Jonah is a 4th year Environmental Studies and Policy student at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Born and raised near Central Park in New York City, he understands the importance of environmental policy that addresses urban living. Jonah wants to help promote leaders who understand and appreciate urban environments and can deliver on policy goals to make cities more environmentally resilient and sustainable.

  • Quinton Zondervan

    Policy Director

    Quinton is an entrepreneur, climate activist and three-term City Councillor in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Quinton came to the United States as an immigrant from Suriname, in South America, when he was 15 years old. After completing his bachelors at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, he moved to Cambridge to study at MIT. As an activist, Quinton got the city to adopt a net zero action plan to eliminate building emissions, and brought attention to the city’s declining tree canopy. On the council, Quinton prioritized affordable housing, tenant protections, racial equity, stronger tree protections, protected bike lanes and strong action on climate change.

  • Peter Jarka-Sellers

    Policy Associate

    Peter has been active in climate advocacy and politics his whole life. He has worked on climate and clean energy policy in Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s office, at the think tank ORF America, and in the German parliament. He has worked on campaigns, including Senator Tina Smith’s 2020 reelection, and for elected officials, including in Governor Tim Walz and Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan’s office. Peter was also a longtime volunteer with Citizens’ Climate Lobby, leading the Saint Paul, Minnesota chapter and serving as liaison to Senator Klobuchar. He holds a Master's from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies with a focus in climate and energy policy and a Bachelor's in political science and international studies from Macalester College. Outside his work, Peter enjoys running, biking, fishing, hiking, cooking, books, and podcasts.

  • Alexandra Bradley

    Policy Assistant Fellow

    Alex is a recent graduate from Boston University with a Bachelor’s in International Relations and a minor in Economics. Through her undergraduate studies in sustainable development and environmental policy, she developed a passion for climate advocacy and is excited to continue to support local sustainability efforts and policy changes as a Policy Fellow at Run On Climate. Originally from Windsor, Connecticut, Alex has background experience working in the nonprofit sector and remains actively involved in her community's environmental initiatives as a volunteer at Sierra Club’s Connecticut Chapter. Her fields of interest include public policy, sustainability strategy, and international affairs and she aspires to continue to drive positive social and environmental change through the advancement of sustainable practices. Outside of work, Alex enjoys thrifting, cooking, photography, and traveling. 

  • Yijie Li (Sarah)

    Policy Fellow

    Sarah is a sophomore at Cornell University, majoring in Environmental Studies. She is an international student from Shanghai, China, where she saw firsthand the lack of outdoor spaces in urban areas and the impact of policies in a different political system. She is passionate about making urban outdoor spaces more inclusive and promoting environmental education for all.

    Currently, Sarah is leading her nonprofit environmental education and justice project, EcoEcho, through the Projects for Peace program. She has experience co-creating an environmental technology patent, working at a solar energy company, and serving on the Middlebury Environmental Council. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors—playing ultimate frisbee, skiing, surfing, golfing, gardening, or walking her dog.

  • Louisa Blakely

    Policy Fellow

    Louisa is a senior at the University of Vermont studying Anthropology, Biology, and Place-Based Education. Originally from New York City, she’s been surrounded by a wide variety of environments between the ever-climbing skyscrapers and cascading canopies in Central Park. Growing up, she was part of walkouts and climate marches celebrating what’s been accomplished and advocating for further action. She was also part of a team working to get a bill passed to give tax credits to restaurants that would return their oyster shells after using them. This was an effort to clean the Hudson River by returning the shells to the water so spat, baby oysters could grow and filter the water! She has always been eager to learn as much as she can about how such a complicated world functions and will forever be learning from everything and everyone around her. Recently, she’s had experience working in informal science education to further others' connection to their local environment. She is thrilled to be interning on the policy level now with ROC, helping further the crucial impact of local-level work! In her free time, she dances, scuba dives, explores the world, and hugs the people she loves.

  • Gianna Giordano

    Policy Fellow

    Gianna Giordano, a senior at Northeastern University, is an Environmental Studies and International Affairs major with minors in Spanish and Italian. Through growing up in California as well as studying and working abroad in Italy and Australia, she has developed a deep love for nature and nuanced understanding of human’s relationship with the environment across the world. In Australia, she co-oped at the Institute for Economics and Peace, and aided in creating the Ecological Threat Report giving her a greater understanding of the most serious environmental threats and actions governments and organizations are taking to combat them. She is very excited to be a policy fellow at Run On Climate and hopes to apply her knowledge of global policy and environmental issues to affect change on a local scale.

  • Ana Martinez

    Policy Fellow

    Ana is a senior at Northeastern University studying Political Science and Economics, with a minor in Environmental Engineering. Originally from Mexico City, growing up, she spent some years in Panama and Minnesota before moving to Boston for college. Inspired by her mother’s background in environmental engineering, she has been involved in environmental clubs and organizations from a young age. Seeing the effects of climate change and environmental injustices in the different cities she’s lived in sparked her passion for advocacy and policy.

  • Sophie Schaad

    Policy Fellow

    Sophie Schaad is a senior at the University of Colorado, Boulder majoring in Political Science. Originally from Chicago, going to school in Boulder, and spending a semester in Barcelona, Sophie has spent many years enjoying the outdoors in different areas. The difference between these cities' climate policies has furthered her interest in creating effective climate solutions. After graduation, she plans to go to law school and hopes to incorporate environmental justice into her career. In her free time, she enjoys working out, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and reading.

  • Nikitha Hadya

    Policy Fellow

    Nikitha is a junior at the University of Michigan, double majoring in Environmental Science and Political Science. She is passionate about incorporating indigenous ecological knowledge into contemporary conservation regimes and sustainability and development efforts. After her undergrad, she plans to continue studying environmental policy and planning as a masters student at UMich. She strongly believes in the strength and effectiveness of local climate initiatives and is looking forward to using her skills and knowledge to help create meaningful change at Run On Climate. Outside of school, Nikitha enjoys roller blading, reading, and going on long walks.

  • Libby Moss

    Policy Intern

    Libby is a Senior at the University of Vermont, Majoring in Sustainability, Ecology, and Policy and minoring in Environmental Studies.

    Before moving to the United States for college, she lived in Bali, Indonesia for almost all her life. Bali is a small, but ecologically and economically diverse tropical island. She grew up going to beach cleanups, scuba diving, and trekking through jungles on weekends. Over the years, she noticed that increased urbanization has destroyed habitats and affected many ecosystems and communities. Seeing this lack of care for the environment and the people affected by these changes nurtured her interest in environmental education, advocacy, and justice.

  • Theo Sternberg

    Policy Intern

    Theo grew up in Brooklyn New York before coming up to Vermont to study Political Science and Philosophy at UVM. He first canvassed in his local neighborhood in Brooklyn before transitioning to work as a College Fellow for the Kamala Harris campaign in 2024. He spent the fall working for the Vermont Democratic Party as a Field Organizer in the Northeast Kingdom, and he is most interested in the connection between democratic citizenship and our relationship with the natural world. After all, nature is for all of our enjoyment so it is on all of us to save it. He spent the last semester working as a Teacher's Assistant in an Intro to Political Theory course before joining the Run on Climate team first as a fundraiser before joining the policy team for the fall.

  • Caitlin Applebee

    Policy Intern

    Caitlin Applebee is a junior at the University of Vermont, double majoring in Environmental Studies and Film and Television Studies with a minor in Public Health, Equity, and Advocacy. They are originally from Scotch Plains, New Jersey where they learned the importance of local level organizing from attending protests in New York City and volunteering with the New Jersey Harm Reduction Coalition. Outside of school, Caitlin enjoys watching films, being with friends, reading, and spending time outside.

  • Eli Dunlap

    Policy Intern

    Eli is a senior at the University of Chicago, double majoring in Laws, Letters, & Society and Environmental/Urban Studies. A Chicago native, they have firsthand experience with the environmental injustices and ecological burdens disproportionately faced by marginalized communities. They follow the traditions of Environmental Justice advocates like Hazel Johnson, fighting for equitable environmental protections and access for communities of color in the city and beyond. Post-graduation, they plan to go to law school, focusing on Civil/Environmental law. They are an active member in Uchicago’s Environmental Justice Task Force and participate in a variety of community organizing, primarily focused on tenants’ housing rights. In their free time, they enjoy biking, music, weightlifting, tea brewing, and envisioning a world led by community care.

  • Safa Muhammad

    Policy Intern

    Safa is a junior at Columbia University studying Sustainable Development and Economics. Growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she saw how climate change could impact local communities and was aware of the legacies of injustice present in the city’s history, leading to an interest in environmental policy and justice. Through her internship with ROC, she hopes to explore the intersection of politics and law and contribute to meaningful climate solutions on a local level. Safa is also passionate about environmental education and storytelling. In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading, traveling, and spending time outside.

  • Reis Bloch

    Policy Intern

    Reis is a senior at Northeastern University, where he is currently earning a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with a minor in Political Science. Originally from New York City, his interest in environmental protection began in local parks and trips across the tri-state area. After enrolling at Northeastern University, Reis completed a fellowship at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, taking an active role in using policy to further climate action across the state. He is very much looking forward to working with ROC to continue his exploration of the intersection where science and policy meet.

  • Mia Faria

    Policy Intern

    Mia is an upcoming senior at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Law/Justice. She became passionate about relief during natural disasters, natural resource allocation, and environmental justice during her academic journey at Eckerd and plans to pursue environmental law in the future. Although she is from the small city of East Providence, Rhode Island, the community’s large sense of togetherness has deeply influenced her. It has inspired her to explore public service and foster connections with those around her. At her core, Mia believes that understanding and advocating for local needs is the key to creating a more resilient, inclusive, and stronger community. Outside of her studies, she enjoys staying active, learning new languages, and traveling to new places.

  • Shreya Paul

    Policy Intern

    Shreya is a junior at UC Davis studying both Environmental Science and Management and Political Science. She is deeply passionate about interdisciplinary solution-making and carries that through her educational and professional career. She was born in Massachusetts and grew up there and California, harboring a love for both coasts. She has a deep appreciation for the natural world and loves hiking, camping, swimming, and biking outside. She has a wide array of experience, ranging from community organizing, nonprofit work, student government, environmental planning, EJ, and forestry. Shreya is excited to contribute to the policy team at Run On Climate and create meaningful environmental change.

  • Matthew Kallas

    Policy Intern

    Matthew Kallas is a recent graduate of the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of Public and International Affairs, where he earned his Master’s degree in Global Environmental Sustainability. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Florida, with minors in Anthropology and Japanese Language. His academic background has equipped him with a strong foundation for advocating transformative climate policies that integrate cultural, social, and political perspectives.

    Growing up in South Florida, Matthew developed a deep appreciation for the fragility of marine and tropical ecosystems, an experience that continues to shape his passion for environmental sustainability. Through his internship with Run On Climate, he hopes to help build momentum for meaningful climate action in local communities and beyond.

    Outside of his professional interests, Matthew enjoys exploring Colorado’s outdoors through hiking, camping, and kayaking, and he is an avid fan of live music, which he enjoys sharing with friends and family.

  • Will Brennan

    Policy Intern

    Will Brennan is a recent graduate of the University of Denver, where he earned Magna Cum Laude honors with a B.A. in History and Economics. Originally from Chicago, Will has had the privilege of growing up surrounded by the beauty of the Great Lakes and now has the opportunity to explore Colorado’s stunning mountains. Will’s passion for environmental justice has come from his love for the outdoors and this has deeply influenced his commitment to finding effective policy solutions for environmental challenges. With plans to attend law school, he is dedicated to advancing environmental justice through legal and policy avenues. This past year, he interned at the Colorado State Capitol, gaining valuable experience by participating in committee meetings focused on environmental legislation and learning important skills related to advocacy and coalition building. He is excited to support Run On Climate and contribute to their mission of fostering meaningful climate action.

  • Lily Ohlman

    Policy Intern

    Lily is a sophomore at the University of Vermont, majoring in Environmental Studies and Political Science. She is deeply passionate about environmental law and climate policy. She sees it as the meeting point of everything she cares about: the natural world, social equity, civic responsibility, and systemic change. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school. Lily is excited to help further ROC's mission of building local climate action and to assist elected officials in implementing climate policy. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, and visiting cafes.

  • Victory Oguntuyi

    Policy Intern

    Victory is a graduate student at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, pursuing a Master’s in International Security. She is passionate about community-driven policy and has experience in public affairs and advocacy. Her academic research has focused on how local dynamics shape national policy, which strengthened her belief that lasting solutions, whether in climate, security, or justice must begin at the community level and include the voices of those most affected. She is excited to work with ROC to expand her research and advocacy skills, learn how to mobilize communities around climate initiatives, and better understand the role of local policy in creating resilient futures. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, baking, and exploring new foods.

  • Isaac Pitt-Payne

    Policy Intern

    Isaac is a junior at the University of Illinois Chicago pursuing a dual degree in Urban Studies and Linguistics. His path toward climate activism began with a desire to foster communities that are diverse, equitable, and—above all—livable, objectives with strong ties to environmental justice. As a Chicagoan, he is particularly interested in climate adaptation and resilience within urban environments and hopes to guide future policy solutions and urban development efforts using these principles. He looks forward to engaging in policy research and local advocacy efforts as a member of the ROC team.

  • Sophie Mock

    Policy Intern

    Sophie is a senior at the University of Colorado Boulder studying Environmental Studies and Political Science. Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sophie spent a lot of her childhood in Ohio’s many state parks and wilderness areas. Exposure to the outdoors fostered an appreciation for the environment and a desire to protect it. This sentiment toward the environment was only furthered upon Sophie’s move to Boulder, Colorado for college. Here, Sophie has enjoyed familiarizing herself with local politics and initiatives. Boulder is a very environment-forward community, allowing Sophie to see the power of local-level climate action. When she is not in the classroom learning the geology of earth systems or the inner workings of electoral systems, Sophie can be found hiking in the Rocky Mountains or planning her next travel adventure.

  • Inioluwa Sola-Lande

    Policy Intern

    Inioluwa is a sophomore at Middlebury College, where she intends to major in Political Science and minor in Chinese. Growing up in Nigeria, one of the most urbanized countries in Africa, she witnessed the visible consequences of climate change. The lack of strong environmental policies not only harmed the land but also disproportionately affected marginalized communities. These experiences inspired her commitment to sustainability and fueled her interest in understanding how policy can address climate challenges. At Middlebury, Inioluwa has grown increasingly interested in supporting policies that promote a more just and sustainable future.Through her internship with Run On Climate, she hopes to strengthen her knowledge of climate policy and learn how environmental goals can be advanced through political processes.She is eager to develop her research skills, connect sustainability with politics, and contribute to efforts that combat climate change.In her free time, Inioluwa enjoys exploring new foods, spending time with family, listening to music, and watching anime.

  • Rebecca Share

    Policy Intern

    Rebecca is a senior at UCLA studying Environmental Science with a concentration in engineering. At school she is researching the spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria as a result of concentrated animal feeding operations. The community-based nature of this work has inspired an interest in local advocacy, particularly concerning underrepresented populations. In her spare time she loves baking, gardening, drawing, and gymnastics.

  • Sabina Murati

    Policy Intern

    Sabina Murati, is a senior at Lake Forest College pursuing a double major in Economics and Data Science, with a concentration in Statistics and a minor in Religion. Driven by a strong interest in land use economics, public policy and the overall relationship between economic systems and climate action, Sabina has sought out academic and extracurricular opportunities that further her understanding in these areas. Outside the classroom, she has worked as a tutor for applied statistics and is involved with a couple of organizations at her school. Through her internship with Run On Climate, Sabina is eager to apply her data-informed perspective to support local climate action and contribute to impactful policy work. In her downtime, she enjoys jogging, watching movies and listening to various podcasts.

  • Davida Agyako-Wiredu

    Policy Intern

    Davida Wiredu is a sophomore at University of Maryland, Baltimore County majoring in Political Science and English and is a humanities scholar. She hails from Frederick, Maryland, and is passionate about public policy, preventing global warming, and promoting environmental sustainability. She is passionate about these areas because of her appreciation and love of nature, and also after witnessing a plethora of construction in her city that threatens the health of the environment. After graduating, she aspires to continue her education and obtain a Master's of Public Policy. In her free time, Davida enjoys reading books, going to concerts, and taking walks. She is very excited to intern with Run On Climate and use her skills to contribute to impactful policy solutions and the future of our earth.

  • Aleece LaMountain

    Policy Intern

    Aleece is a junior at Johnson & Wales University, located in Providence, Rhode Island. She’s majoring in Biology with a specialization in Biomedical Science, and pursuing minors in both Chemistry and Psychology. Deeply committed to grassroots engagement, she is passionate about local climate initiatives within her city and the importance of policy work in regards to meaningful, implementable change. Outside of her academic pursuits, Aleece is active on campus as a Residential Advisor, Peer Tutor, Food Rescue Volunteer, and a member of Delta Zeta, the Pi Omega chapter. She has also gained experience within the policy field as a PureRx Intern and EKG Technician. Her leadership roles and given background continue to shape her drive to advocate for healthier, more stable, and sustainable communities. In her free time, Aleece enjoys writing to her pen pal, scrapbooking, walking along the pedestrian bridge, and exploring creative outlets that allow her to connect and rejoice with others.

  • Lily Graves

    Policy Intern

    Lily graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in December 2024 with a degree in Evolutionary Ecology Biology and a minor in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. Raised in Telluride, Colorado, she developed a passion for freshwater ecosystems. Her research focused on the Upper Colorado River Basin, studying native fish conservation, drought impacts, and water policy, and analysis of the Colorado Wolf Reintroduction Plan. Lily also worked as a student ambassador and supervisor for the University of Colorado Foundation, raising funds for scholarships and sustainability programs. She has experience with R Studio and basic Python for environmental data analysis. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, dirt biking, and spending time with her parrot, Kawi.

    Jane Radke is a senior at the University of Denver, majoring in Economics with minors in Sustainability, Socio-Legal Studies, and Leadership. Originally from Long Island, New York, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and cooking. With the ocean at home and the mountains at school, Jane had developed a deep appreciation for the natural world and a strong commitment for environmental protection. As a member of the policy team at Run On Climate, she is excited to contribute to meaningful work that advances environmental policy.

    Everett Kehe is a Senior at Lake Forest College Studying Economics and Environmental Studies. He is from Highland Park, Illinois and enjoys bicycling in his free time. At Run on Climate he is excited to help make a difference in communities.

  • Julianna Elton

    Policy Intern

    Julianna Elton is a senior at the University of Vermont, majoring in Environmental Studies and Political Science with a minor in Geospatial Technologies. Originally from New York State, she spent much of her childhood on Fire Island, a small barrier island off Long Island, which inspired her passion for environmental issues. Growing up with a place-based education that emphasized outdoor learning and the island's unique ecosystem, Julianna developed a deep connection to her environment. She has witnessed firsthand the impacts of climate change on her home, including increased flooding, longer hurricane seasons, and rising sea temperatures. Seeing these changes has inspired her to strive to make positive contributions to the environment and people's relationship with it. Julianna is eager to return as a policy intern for Run On Climate and gain more experience in working with local government and stakeholders to drive meaningful change. She believes local environmental policy is key to fighting the climate crisis, especially in the current state of our government. In her free time, Julianna enjoys spending time outdoors, running, cooking, and reading.

  • Noah Spoth

    Organizing and Development Fellow

    Noah is a lifelong Vermonter, growing up in Milton, Vermont. While attending the University of Vermont he studied history and political science with an interest in environmental issues and historical climate change. He took a position with the Vermont Public Interest Research Group for their 2022 and 2023 summer canvassing campaigns, helping raise money for environmental causes around the state.

    After graduating from UVM in 2024 he took a position as a Balint Organizing Corp fellow and worked as a regional organizing director for the Vermont Democratic Party during the 2024 general election. Noah then served as the Canvass Director for Run On Climate’s first-ever canvassing operation in the summer of 2025. The environment and climate have always been issues close to Noah's heart, and he's excited to transition into the role of Run On Climate’s first ever Community Organizer.

  • Amelia DiGiano

    Fundraiser & Journalism Intern

    Amelia DiGiano is a recent graduate of the film and photography program at Montana State University. During her time at MSU, she focused on visual storytelling as a means of addressing the climate crisis. On a student research grant, she traveled to areas across the U.S. undergoing environmental disasters to document the emotional impact of climate change. The resulting series, Portraits of a Planet in Crisis, will be published in Earth Island Journal this fall. Amelia also wrote weekly environmental op-eds for the MSU student newspaper Prior to moving to Vermont, she worked with Polar Bears International, an arctic conservation non-profit. Amelia is excited to work with Run on Climate in furthering local-level climate action through journalism.

  • Mason Edmunds

    Social Media Manager

    Mason grew up in South Burlington, Vermont and currently resides in Montréal, Québec. He graduated from Concordia University in 2023 with a B.A. in Urban Studies. During his studies, Mason developed a passion for sustainable urban development, sustainable urban transportation, and inclusive urban planning. He began his journey with Run On Climate in the summer of 2023 as a Social Media Intern. Before returning to Run On Climate as the Social Media Manager, Mason completed a second internship where he worked on the Communication and Awareness Unit at the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, an organization that operates directly under the United Nations Environment Programme. In his free time, Mason enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, kayaking, cycling, fishing, and playing chess.

  • Margaret Sprigg-Dudley

    Social Media Intern

    Margaret is a junior at Northwestern University studying history and environmental policy. Having grown up in Ohio, she gained her love for the environment from exploring the Ohio forests. Her studies have led her to an interest in food sustainability; she taps maple trees every winter and recently studied abroad in New Zealand where she learned about the island's ecology and food systems. Outside of school she enjoys walking around the city and hunting down new coffee shops. Her work as a barista allowed her to directly interact with her community, teaching her the importance of local action. She is excited to bring this background to Run On Climate as she continues her work in sustainability!

  • Noah Proctor

    Social Media Intern

    Noah Proctor is a second-year student at Columbia University studying Earth & Environmental Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Although a STEM student, he is passionate about climate policy and advocacy, which propelled him into this internship! Apart from Run On Climate, he is involved in carbon sequestration research, Engineers Without Borders, Tennis, and even coaches a high school speech and debate team. Growing up on the shores of Lake Erie ignited Noah's passion for the environment, bearing witness to algal blooms that harmed wildlife and tainted drinking water supplies. In the past, Noah has led social media teams for various youth-led climate organizations, and furthers his work in social media as a PR chair for a few student groups at Columbia. As of recently, he is exploring the intersections of programming and sustainability, aspiring to use them to supply policymakers with predictive climate modeling tools. He is excited to bring these interests to Run On Climate!

  • Olivia Lloyd

    Social Media Intern

    Olivia is a senior at the University of Denver, double majoring in media studies and public policy with an environmental policy concentration, and minoring in sustainability. She grew up in Burleson, Texas, but now lives in Denver. While she always loved spending time outdoors, her passion for the environment flourished upon moving to Colorado. Her studies have furthered her interest in climate justice and the role that media plays in regards to it, particularly social media. She is excited to be a part of the social media team at Run on Climate and to help raise awareness about environmental policy and those working to enact positive change. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking, swimming, baking, and going thrifting.

    Beth Sutton is a senior at Loyola University Chicago majoring in Environmental Studies. Originally from Indiana, she has developed a strong passion for sustainability and the ways environmental change connects to business, community, and everyday life. She believes that meaningful progress comes from creating solutions that are both practical and inclusive, ensuring that environmental action can be accessible to all. Beth is especially interested in how organizations can go beyond surface-level commitments and embrace truly sustainable practices. Outside of academics, she enjoys spending time by Lake Michigan, exploring new places in Chicago, and long walks.

    Mischa Rafferty is a student at the University of Michigan studying Film, Television, and Media (FTVM) and UX/UI Design. Mischa joined Run on Climate as a social media intern to combine a passion for environmental advocacy with creative storytelling. Mischa is excited to contribute to the team by crafting engaging content that inspires action, raises awareness, and connects more people to the movement for a sustainable future.

  • PawThoKa Mae

    Social Media Intern

    PawThoKa Mae is a rising junior at Middlebury College, majoring in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in South Asian Studies. Born in Tak, Thailand, and raised in Burlington, Vermont, she enjoys cooking, thrifting, hiking, and photography.This past summer, she completed a Privilege & Poverty internship at Greensboro Urban Ministry through the Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty. The experience brought to life her classroom discussions on the intersection of poverty, sustainability, and social equity, deepening her interest in how structural issues connect to environmental challenges. Inspired by this work, PawThoKaMae is excited to engage in environmental advocacy and help raise awareness about the human side of climate and sustainability issues.

  • Marin Warshay

    Journalism Intern

    Marin Warshay is a recent graduate from Brown University where she received a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Urban Studies. In college, through environmental writing, Marin merged her lifelong love for words and the natural world. After graduation, Marin applied these passions to a journalism fellowship in Toledo, OH, during which she covered climate change and environmental justice issues in the Midwest. Now, Marin is excited to be a part of Run On Climate and continue using her writing as a platform for creating positive climate action, a form of environmental education, and a means to make the fight against climate change more inclusive. In her free time, you can find her making jewelry, rock climbing, seeing live music, and cooking!

  • Henry Shuler

    Journalism Intern

    Henry Shuler is a recent graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Henry majored in environmental studies and wants to become a climate journalist. He writes articles about environmental issues for Our National Conversation, a media outlet with the mission of providing nuanced, bipartisan content amid escalating polarization. He has worked as a blog writer for Just Honest Living — a small business based in Glen Gardener, New Jersey — and a sustainability content creator for Dickinson College’s Center for Sustainability Education. In his free time, he reads books, writes content for his Medium page, plays the guitar, cooks, exercises, and gets outdoors. He aims to utilize storytelling to convey crucial information about environmental issues, including their effect on citizens, the degradation of the planet's health, and the compromise to future generations' well-being.
