Canvass Director (Summer 2026)

About the Role:
Lead a passionate team of canvassers to advance climate action in Vermont! As the Canvass Director, train, and manage a team of 4-10 canvassers to engage with communities, build grassroots support, and drive impactful campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Improve canvassing plans and outreach strategies.
Train, supervise, motivate, and support a team of canvassers.
Track team performance and ensure campaign goals are met.
Door to door fundraising canvassing.
Cultivate meaningful connections with community members.
Qualifications:
2+ years of canvassing or campaign leadership experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Passion for climate and social justice.
Compensation:

Door-to-Door Canvasser (Summer 2026)

Join our team of dedicated canvassers to raise awareness and support for local-level climate action this summer in Vermont! As a canvasser, you will engage directly with community members to raise awareness, inspire action, and garner donations to support Run On Climate’s work advancing bold local climate solutions in communities across the country.
Canvassers have the option to work part-time (15-29 hours per week) or full-time (30-38 hours per week); please indicate your preference in your application.
Responsibilities:
Knock on doors, have meaningful conversations, and engage with Vermont residents about climate action.
Educate the public about our work.
Collect donations and/or contact information from those interested in supporting our work
Represent our mission and values with professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions.
Work collaboratively with a team and report progress to your Canvass Director.
Qualifications:
Passion for climate action and social justice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to engage respectfully with diverse audiences.
Comfort working outdoors and traveling within Vermont communities.
Previous canvassing, customer service, or fundraising experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation:
Pay based on experience, $17-22/hr.

As a team leader, you will assist the canvass director in leading a team of 4-10 canvassers by leading a crew of 2-5 canvassers each day and assisting in training, transportation, and planning.
Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate a crew of 2-5 canvassers each day
Track crew performance and make sure they’re hitting their goals.
Assist in developing canvassing plans.
Cultivate meaningful connections with community members.
Door to door fundraising canvassing.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of canvassing or team leadership experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
