Shannon Hoffman is a renter and nonprofit worker running for City Council in Denver, CO. The fight to get off of fossil fuels is personal for Shannon; her grandfather died of black lung after years of working in a coal mine in Central Appalachia, leaving her grandmother to raise several children with no compensensation from the coal company. Shannon will work to move Denver to clean energy as quickly as possible and ensure equity throughout the process.

Traffic calming measures and protected bike lanes
Climate Justice/Equity
Phase out fossil fuel use and achieve 100% renewable energy
Require large corporations to pay their fair share to accelerate the transition
Work directly with poor, working-class, and predominantly Black and Brown neighborhoods in Denver to ensure that climate policies benefit those communities
