Ross Bernet
Candidate for City Council, Berkeley, CA
Ross has spent 15 years working to address the climate crisis in many different capacities and is now looking to further his impact on Berkeley's City Council. He studied Environmental Science at UCLA, worked for a non-profit planting trees in Haiti, and received his masters from Yale School of the Environment. After moving to Berkeley, Ross was elected to the Sierra Club Executive Committee to support candidates running on pro-climate platforms. If elected, Ross will focus on reducing vehicle emissions, which account for 60% of the City's overall emissions, by expanding protected bike lanes and advancing more housing development near public transit.
