Jennifer Smith

Candidate for City Council, Eugene, OR

Jennifer is a union leader and community organizer running to represent the 3rd ward of Eugene, OR on City Council. She's chaired the City's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, served on the City's Transit System's Budget Committee and is a core member of Walkable Eugene Citizen Action Network.

If elected, Jennifer plans to build out community solar and storage, create more protected bike lanes, and increase access to public transit.

Safety

 
  • Increase the amount of protected bike lanes and sidewalks so all Eugenians can be safe when travelling.

  • Reduce pollution in Eugene by reducing industry seats on the toxics board, supporting electrification of new buildings, and working to reduce carbon transport emissions.

Affordability

 
  • Expand Bus Rapid Transit service to increase accessibility and usability.
